This video production is intended for the novice hiker. There are several technical routes to the summit but this presentation is Clearly for the first timer. The movie is on DVD and is 33 minutes long. Imbedded on the Disk is a PDF with printable statistics, driving directions, climbers registration form, and lists of things we have brought in past years. We have all the critical information such as permits and where to get them, climbing routs and more. Information contained in this DVD will answer all your questions as we leave no stone unturned. The South Spur Route is the most popular hiking route on Mt. Adams. It is suitable for novice climbers and does not require ropes, although ice axes and crampons are required. The production will show you everything you need to do, to summit Mt. Adams successfully your first time. This video is intended for the hiker that is in reasonable physical condition. Hiking and mountaineering are inherently risky sports. We have been climbing Mt. Adams since July 2001. We usually hike Mt. Adams the third Friday of August and, camp out at least one night if not both Friday and Saturday with our return on Sunday Morning. This movie is a collection of hundreds of digital pictures and video clips from several summits. It is based upon our Summer hikes and shows you the entire trip from some basic history and Geological information to Driving directions from Portland International Airport. The hike video shows you every step of the way. We show and tell you where the water is and where to camp.
